In a Led class, everyone practices the same asanas together and the teacher counts the breath and vinyasas. Although this is a great way to experience the group energy and memorize the sequence some classes may not be suitable for your level. If you are not sure please get in touch.
Led classes don’t focus on explaining the details of each asana in depth. Students are expected to be familiar with the sequence (or some part of it according to the class you are attending).
If you feel like you need to deepen your understanding of asanas it is highly recommended to attend Mysore Self-Practice classes as it is designed for explaining each asana in depth or book a private session here.
Hands-on Adjustments: All students may receive hands-on adjustments in order to help them deepen their practice. If you don’t want hands-on adjustments that’s also fine and please feel free to share this so that you will only get verbal instructions.
Suitable for different levels, please check the class descriptions below.
Led Class for BEGINNERS: This class focuses on standing poses and last finishing poses.
Great for beginners or anyone who would like to improve their foundation. Our aim is to help you memorize the sequence if you are new to Ashtanga or to deepen your foundation if you are an experienced practitioner.
Standing poses are quite fundamental in Ashtanga Yoga tradition because we keep practising them no matter which series we are in, so I hope this class will help everyone to deepen their motivation and knowledge. It will also help those of you who have been joining Mysore (assisted self-practice) classes for a while and seeking extra opportunities to improve their knowledge.
